Lauren is the co-founder and CEO of All in Together, a non-partisan non-profit women’s civic education organization. Since its founding in 2014, AIT has trained hundreds of thousands of women across America on the tools of civic leadership, participation and engagement. AIT is committed to ensuring women have equal voice and power in American democracy.


A writer, researcher and thought leader on diversity and women’s issues-in the workplace, in politics and in between. Lauren is a frequent opinion contributor to an array of publications including Politico Magazine, the Hill, The Chicago Tribune, LA Times and many more. Her 2016 book Crossing The Thinnest Line (Hachette, Sept 2016) argues diversity is THE most under-leveraged economic asset in the United States. She has co-authored a long list of research studies and her thought leadership has appeared in most major publications.

Lauren is trusted advisor to a wide range of companies and intuitions and has for more than 10 years worked to help advance the critical issues on behalf of her clients. Having worked previously for Oliver Wyman, Deloitte, and Booz & Company, she established Leader Chivee Advisors in 2015 and now works to advance social good through diversity, corporate communications, public affairs, and ESG strategy.


In 2019 Lauren was elected for a four-year term as Councilwoman for the Town/ Village of Harrison, NY in Westchester County thanks to support from a broad coalition including Vote Mama, Eleanor’s Legacy, organized labor and support from her mentor, New York Governor Kathy Hochul. At the time of her election, she was the only woman on the Board – today she is pleased to say there are three. In her part-time elected leadership role, she works to effectively represent her community in local affairs and encourages other women to participate in local politics.

She is proud that her leadership led the Town of Harrison to sign one of the biggest sexual harassment settlements in the history of New York which included a commitment to reforms in governance and accountability that will benefit all employees for years to come. Her term will conclude at the end of 2023.


Lauren Leader is a widely respected thought leader and speaker on women’s leadership and diversity. She is a regular on Morning Joe speaking to issues relating to gender equity and the state of American democracy. She is a frequent speaker, lecturer, and panel member at a wide array of conferences, conventions, forums, and venues across North America and Europe. She has authored many research studies on women’s issues and is a regular commentator on MSNBC, CNN, Fox News, PBS and more. Her work and writing have been featured in the NYTimes, Washington Post, USA Today, LA Times, The Hill and more. She has been a weekly guest on SiriusXM POTUS since 2015.

Lauren was a 2018 Presidential Leadership Scholar a program founded and led by Presidents George W. Bush and Bill Clinton. She is also a life member of the Council on Foreign Relations.
